POEM FROM MY CHILDHOOD

"What take an umbrella on such a fine day, said the elf to his mother & frowned"
"Just look at the sunshine so golden & gay & the sky is quite blue all around"
So off he went skipping in new suit of yellow
But before he had gone very far
There blew up a crowd, an enormous big fellow
"You know what these April clouds are"
Then down came a shower that Pelted & Stung
and soaked the poor elf,
With a sigh, he hung out the tunic & knickers to dry
But alas, when he tried to get dressed
He found they had shrunk in the soft April rain,
& he had to walk home in his vest
So now pray be careful since April is here
That you are not caught like the elf
WHEN THERE'S A CLOUD
THAT'S ABOUT TO COME NEAR
GO HURRY & SHELTER YOURSELF
