VERY EARLY SPRING
TRADITIONALLY, WINEMAKERS COLLECT THEIR DANDELIONS ON ST. GEORGES DAY WHICH IS THE 23RD OF APRIL. YESTERDAY 22ND DECEMBER I SAW THE FIRST DANDELION OF THE SEASON IN A GRASSY BANK ON PARSONAGE ROAD BRIGHOUSE. WHEN I RETURNED TODAY TO PHOTOGRAPH IT, THE PETALS HAD ALREADY GONE, AND IT HAD WHAT WE CALL IN YORKSHIRE "CLOCKED"
