For the first time in my married life, I have been doing all the cooking and shoping

Earlier in the week it was mainly warming up dishes that Sheila had already prepared

Yesterday I cooked a Chile Con Carne from, Scratch and it will have to do for two days

Sheila cooked the rice

During the time that Sheila has been in pain Pauline Ellis has been an absolute Brick

Toby's Recitation, by Lillian Moore

I made a sand castle. In rolled the sea. " All sand castles belong to me " to me said the sea"
I dug sand tunnels. In flowed the sea, " All sand tunnels belong to me," said the sea.
I saw my sandpail floating free., I snatched it from the sea, "My sandpail belkongs to me" to ME

Today I cut both of the lawns for the first time , and Sheila has planted some new strawberry plants, in the raised bed. Tomorrow is a busy day. Early doors I am going to Audiology for my hearing aids sorting out. Then we are both going to my Remember When Class at the Huddersfield U3A.
They are having strolling actors for a change. Then in the evening we are going to Terry and Shirley Hanson's house for a One over the Eight Meeting The theme is Spanish Wines

Busy Times

Last Friday we went to the funeral of a ninety year old friend of ours, Eric Stenhouse

We were reminded at the funeral that Jesus Christ's First Miracle was to turn water into wine at the Marriage Feast at Canaan .

Eric died just two hours before he was due to be married to Brenda Gande

On Sunday we were previledged to go to the First Annual Lunch of Shelf Wine Circle at Coley Church Hall. Sheila cooked Brisket and Chicken for about 40 people , Maureen Heath and Pauline Moss did the sweets, Leyland Smith cooked the Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup and supplied the bread. Pauline Ellis never wants to see a carrot again All tables had about 8 people on them and there was free red and white wine on all the Tables. There was also a free Sheery Reception and Raffle, and coffee and After Dinner Mints Lance brought some of the Wine and Winston brought the other . Total cost per person Just £9.00
