THIS MORNING I AM REMINDED OF DIOGENESE
I GET QUITE A LOT OF PAIN DUE TO CERVICAL SPONDULOSIS. MEDICINES ARE ONLY PART OF THE CURE. WHEN THE KING SAID TO DIOGENES WHO LIVED IN A BARREL , "WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE UP TO HALF THE VALUE OF MY KINGDOM ?"
DIOGENES SAID "JUST STAND TO ONE SIDE AD LET THE SUN SHINE ON MY BARREL !" I HAVE JUST DISCOVERED THAT THE UV LIGHT FROM THE SUNSHINE DOES WONDERS FOR MY CERVICAL SPONDULOSIS .

REV. CELIA MIDGLEY'S POEM
ORCHID
Gathering buttercups
daisies & harebells I
found the most exquisite
delicate flower.
Why did I pluck it so
unhesitatingly ?
Now it's sweet summer life
sapped to an hour
This poem is to be found in the
Unitarian anthology
"Crying out loud"

VERSES FROM THE SONG OF SONGS RECITED TO-DAY BY REV CELIA MIDGLEY
For, lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land ;
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the
the tender grape give a good smell. Arise my love my fair one and
come away. O my dove that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stair, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.
Take from us the the foxes the little foxes that spoil the vines: for the vines have tender grapes..
My Beloved is mine, and I am his : he feedeth among the lilies.
Until the day break, and the shadows flee away. Turn my beloved
and be thou like a roe, or young hart upon the mountains of Bether
