The Service at Pepper Hill to-day was Conducted by the Rev Jeffrey Usher. It is his last time at Pepper Hill before he goes back to his native Australia. He has been the Treasurer for many Organisations including the International Association for Religious Freedom. He neither has Television nor Computer. After the service we all went to the Wyke Lion to say goodbye to him. Picture shows Jeffrey Usher with Michael Bolt who has been Playing the Organ. The turn out was not so good as we expected

TODAY IS MY SEVENTY FIRST BIRTHDAY

WEIGHT LOSS

I was a 44" waist, now I am a 38" waist, Today we have been shopping to Halifax, we intended just buying a flat cap, however Sheila persuaded me to by, Shirt, Tie and a Coat,We bought the smaller clothing ready for our Holiday in the Isle of White, also after three funerals last week. A Coleague of Sheila has just died from Cancer at quite a young age

THIRD FUNERAL

We have just been to our third Funeral in five days.
Yesterday's funeral was of Minny beter known to us as Eileen Mitchel.
She was the Secretary of the Yorkshire Federation of Amateur Winemakers and Brewers from 1976 to 1986. In those days She and Stan used to travel everywhere by Bus and Train. All minutes were typed onto a skin and the they used to burn the midnight oil with an Antique, Hand opperated Gestetner Duplicator

Today we went to the Funeral of Trevor Clarkson, He was my Brother in law from my first Marriage. His wife Muriel put on and excellent spread, we met quite a lot of their relations. His eldest son Peter and his wife Moira came all the way from Australia
