26th Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday was our 26th Wedding Anniversary, We went with Maureen and Bruce to Brooks restaurant in Brighouse and really enjoyed it.
Because we had an unfortunate accident with the older camera we have been out this morning and bought a new one
I am feeling a bit fed up, my psychiatrist has advised me to go for a brain scan and It cannot take place for three months
Tomorrow we are going to Jane and Amriks for lunch and a walk along the canal
I am really lucky

TODAY

Today we have been to Central Methodist Church, It was a Lady preacher. Afterwards we went up to Sandra and Stuarts house to see if Mark could locate a new Camera on Ebay. Unfortunately he could not find one, so we are now thinking of going to Argos. Afterwards we went to pick the first Ransoms (Wild Garlic) of the Season from Elland Wood Bottom. We are going to have them with our Lamb Dinner tonight with a bottle of Red Wine
We are so lucky

Phoenix Wine Lovers' Society

Last night's meeting of the Phoenix wine lovers society was exceptional. A new member, Steven Lord of the Art Gallery in Brighouse did an excellent wine tasting of South African wines including one sparkling wine, three whites and three reds . There was not a poor wine amongst them. It just happened to be Marjorie Oates Birthday . This group goes from strength to strength, there were seventeen persons present

Cheers

Winnie Barlow's Poem

"What!, Take an umbrella on such a fine day" said the elf to his mother and frowned
"Just look at the sunshine so golden and gay and the sky is so blue all around"
So off he went skipping in new suit of yellow, but before he had gone very far
There blew up a cloud, and enormous big fellow, you know what these April clouds are
The down came a shower that pelted and stung, and soaked the poor elf.
With a sigh, he hung out the tunic and knickers to dry
But alas! when he tried to get dressed, he found they had shrunk in the soft april rain
and he had to wal;k home in his vest
So now pray be careful since April is here that yiouy are not caught like the elf
When there's a cloud that's about to come new, go hurry and shelter yourself
